Magazine Project Genre Research - "Anime USA"
Don't laugh at me. This was the only other legitimate "media-related" magazine that I could find at Publix. Barnes & Noble was closed.
My fifth and final magazine is titled Anime USA, a bi-monthly magazine that reports on various kinds of Japanese animation, or anime. The cover shows a piece of promotional art from one of this season's shows, which I don't know the name of, and most of the headlines on the cover are in neon pink, cyan, or yellow font, all colors that are very eye-catching.
The articles have to do with various topics related to anime, such as reviews of the newest movies or series or interviews with the creator of a series. The advertisements in the magazine are usually for anime merchandise, such as figurines or posters, or DVD sets of various shows. The majority of them occur between the table of contents and the first article. Photos that do appear (in the case of the articles) are of promotional art for the series.
I could not find a distribution number for the magazine. Anime USA is the only remaining anime news magazine published for the North American market.
